Foodie’s Day Out!

How beautiful life is when you have the right set of companions to hop around the town? My cousins are no different than me. For a cousins day out, a car is recommended for personalizing the trip. Play the music you love, talk for hours together, take the wheel and do some stunts (not recommended), your day is sorted.

To start off the day with a king’s breakfast, we dropped in at ‘ट for Tasty’, a small cafe in Marcel with a big menu. The foodie in me came out and it was a grand feast. Run by chef Rajat Bakre, he knows what is just right for you. The menu ranges from heavy to lean food. They have got some amazing combos so you can have every bit of it. The walls here keep you engaged with witty one-liners and graffiti. Since the cafe is located on the insides of Marcel, it is advised to call the owner for directions.

(Follow his page on instagram @bindass_bawarchi or just google his cafe).

Our love for fish set us off to Soi, tucked away on the outskirts of Panaji city in Dona Paula. With a rustic ambient look, the place is bedecked with ancient kitchenware, plush furniture and not to miss the Goan vibes. It is recommended to reserve a table in advance, especially during weekends.

We were regaled with scrumptious fish delicacies, all made traditionally.

A dessert is a sweet ending to a new beginning. Our quest for something intensely sweet reached us to Belgian Waffle Co. in Panjim and it was really tough time to pick our choices. I would recommend butterscotch waffle for those with a sweet tooth. They have a wide range of toppings priced reasonably. The interiors are fit for a young crowd who prefer hopping around than settling in one place.

Our day was sorted beautifully thanks to each other. With a cousin squad, it feels very free to be the real you. I can’t wait for another outing like this. Cheers!
